i90live.com exists for one drive: I-90 over Snoqualmie Pass, the busiest mountain crossing in Washington. We take the official data from the Washington State Department of Transportation and put it on one fast page: the live pass status, the current traction requirement, the road surface, the temperature at the summit, and the cameras, so you can decide in seconds whether to go, to chain up, or to wait.

Conditions come from the WSDOT Traveler Information API and its public feeds. Weather comes from the National Weather Service. When our page and another source disagree, the WSDOT timestamp on this page tells you how fresh our read is.

This site also carries live pages for Stevens Pass, White Pass, and Blewett Pass, so one storm check covers every year round Cascade crossing in Washington.

The same idea powers our sister site, i80pass.com, which covers I-80 and Donner Pass in the Sierra Nevada. Both sites are built and run by Bright Red Design, a web design studio in Reno, Nevada.
