White Pass Conditions

White Pass carries US 12 over the Cascades at 4,500 feet, the highest of Washington's year round Cascade crossings, between Packwood on the west side and Naches and Yakima on the east. It is the southern crossing, the one drivers from Tacoma and Olympia reach for when Snoqualmie and Stevens are buried or closed.

The ski area sits at the summit and the east side drops through the Tieton River canyon toward Naches. The live posting on this page is WSDOT's own report for the pass, with the summit camera so you can see the road at 4,500 feet before you climb.
